Polymer clay: what is it?

Polymer clay is a thermo-hardening modeling material: a sort of clay that hardens in the oven. When crafted well, the creation becomes very durable and can last for years.

Once baked, the final effect is a mix between porcelain and clay. Although it is a plastic-based material, it does not look plasticky.
